Students and their parents are paying for Crow's wild ambitions. Look at all those gleaming new buildings? His new hires? Does ASU really need a dept. of homeland security? That's why they're paying so much tuition. Get rid of him. If it wasn't for his big mouth then the legislature never would have proposed this new law.Feb 25, 2012
As long as it doesn't become a burden to the taxpayers I guess it's OK. The headline in today's Republic discussed the state's multi-billion dollar debt. I would hope this will not add to it. We cannot afford to take on more debt to please Mike Crow's grandiose ego.Sep 28, 2011
Maricopa County is #2 in pet overpopulation yet it only has a half time director. What's wrong with this picture? It's shameful and appalling that we are not afforded the decency of a full time director. Silva only works there part time. He's asst. county manager. I say boot him out and get someone who can really manage the shelter.May 28, 2011
An aberration, perhaps. but finally we're seeing the results of our tax dollars. ASU traditionally has below average graduation rates despite all the millions we've sunk into the school and despite Mike Crow's windbag bravado. ASU though is tops in partying. So maybe the students put down the beer and did some work for a change. Perhaps the down economy scared them into studying when they realized jobs are harder to find. May 7, 2011
Crow loves to be in the newspaper doesn't he? Crow and his overblown ego. ASU is a top party school, that's what ASU is known for, not it's academics. Parties, Mike Crow, that's what goes on at ASU. Parties, on and off campus. Big beer guzzling parties.Apr 28, 2011
Mike Crow himself is the biggest storm in Arizona. He is a poor fiscal leader. He has the largest litigation budget of any ASU president. Why? He fires anyone who stands in his way. He shrugs off positive findings from the EEOC and ASU's arbitration committee and says they reached the wrong conclusion. Example. Fired ASU Prof. Kathryn Milun won her discrimination case with both the EEOC and ASU. Crow was unmoved. The case worked its way through the courts when years later (about 5) Crow finally caved in and agreed to a whopping settlement. Is this a leader? No, it's a fool. There are many more cases like this. Crow carried his bad boy behavior from Columbia where he was vice provost and just as mean. See the case Chichilnisky vs Columbia. Crow is a tsunami of a storm. Watch out if Crow is coming.Apr 6, 2011
The board of regents should be abolished. I totally agree with this money saving move. The board of rejects are the ones responsible for Mike Crow's outrageous salary. He makes more than the Governor and both Senators. He isn't worth it.
Get rid of the regents now. I'll help them pack. One more thing. The regents knew fired ASU Prof. Kathryn Milun won her discrimination case against the school and she won her case with the school's arbitration committee. They all refused to settle with her dragging it into litigation for years. They ended up paying her a whopping sum. They are not fiscal leaders either.Feb 24, 2011
The state of Arizona is flat broke. Who is paying for this fiasco? We cannot afford Mike Crow and his high flying adventures to boost his over inflated ego. We know Mike you think you're top dog. We cannot afford you and your empire.Dec 22, 2010
Stop giving Mike Crow a blank check. He just hired a high priced professor to study homeland security. Duh? Hundreds of firms have been doing this since 9.11. Why now? ASU does not have the skills or the know how to compete in this area. It's a waste of taxpayer money. Stick with what you know Crow and that's not too much other than spending our money on building your empire.Nov 4, 2010
Why does anyone listen to Mike Crow? He spends tax payer money on projects to build an empire devoted to his gas bag ego. Crow wastes more money than he brings in. Get rid of Crow would be a boost to Arizona.Nov 2, 2010
