Actually, it was probably another liberal democrat not taking personal responsibility for their lot in life and most likely blamed this poor woman's skin color for their problems. Makes one wonder at what point in a person's life does a person become responsible for their OWN lot in life. This is typical of B.O. supporters: they turn responsibility for themselves over to the government and wonder where their rights go and then blame their problems on someone else, again. It's time people took some personal responsibility and a little pride in their efforts instead of asking for government to fix their own personal dumb choices in life. Give up responsibility for yourself, and you will give up your rights to yourself, too. Wow, MWMIKE needs to click his heels and salute because he is sounding a lot like a Nazi and would have likely gased her with a new health care plan. Personally, it doesn't matter what party she was with. She was a human being who needed help. Make the world a better place, starting with yourself.6 months ago
Why are you so against anyone making a profit (the prior comments explain what is done with the profit)? Additionally, why is it even your concern? If there are people wanting to send their kids to this school, they can. Last I checked, it's a free country. Sounds like you would rather have everyone paid according to their need, redistribute profits, and do away with private property and make it all public. Make sure you tell your daughter that the fruits of her labor (her property) should be made public, and that she should not make more money than anyone else.

We all should turn off the TV and read more. I just finished Friedrich Hayek's book, "On the Road to Serfdom." If you're interested in understanding what a pawn we are, check it out. It can change our opinions on what we are buying, perspectives on foreign policy, etc. Good luck in your pursuit of life, liberty and property. 6 months ago
WRONG, CCW requires training. I work on campus and am an Army Vet, 10th Mountain Div...
Concealed weapons don't make people edgy... edgy people don't even see them.
WRONG: Colorado’s Columbine DID NOT happen because guns were allowed on campus. Bottom line is that the universities should protect constitutional rights. What other rights would you like to see disappear, AMY? Free speech. Religious freedoms? Go back to Commiefornia, if you don't like American Liberties.Mar 9, 2012
If the athletic department does better, financially, and on the scoreboard, then a good decision ...if not, that was an expensive lesson.Apr 15, 2011
One more thought, since they both sound like good guys. Marine gets out to have a few words with Matt, and maybe tell him off. The Marine's gun his holstered, but Matt sees the holstered gun, and fears for his life. He grabs the Glock and gets out to tell him to stand down. But, before Matt can say anything, the Marine sees the Glock, and feels his life is in danger, and draws. Matt shoots the Marine. This could just be a tragic story of two good guys, and one that really should not have even got out of his truck with his weapon. You are taught in concealed weapons classes to avoid a confrontation at all costs. Getting out of your vehicle only escalates the situation.Apr 15, 2011
Consider this may have been a Citizen's Arrest: this Marine may have been trying to make a citizen's arrest for a crime that he witnessed. What was a race may have been him trying to pull Matthew over. Marines his age don't going racing guys down the street, nor do they go looking to get in a fight over traffic issues. I would think the Marine would have called 911 to let them know what he was doing. But, I too tried to call 911, and it froze my phone up and the call never went through. I was lucky not to get shot myself, as I made a citizen's arrest, holding a guy that had just committed a felony at gun point. I sure hope they check the Marine's phone, and see if he tried dialing 911. It was easy for the police to check mine, and I was given my weapon, back and went on my way. I would never advocate a citizen's arrest, if you can just follow the guy and give the police info. Whatif...Apr 15, 2011
