If Poorman truly believes the government wants to register gun ownership as a first step towards universal confiscation, then he certainly is suffering from paranoia. And if he believes that his rifle - pistol - shotgun - rocket launcher will enable him to hold off the power of the entire US military, then he is delusional - absolutely, positively.
More likely he knows he's talking garbage but thinks it makes him sound like a big man. He's the type of guy who will eventually shoot himself in the foot while showing off. Hopefully he won't hurt anyone else.3 months ago
It seems the one thing everyone (even Lapierre) agrees about is that people who are mentally ill should not own guns. Poorman, you demonstrated in your post that you are both paranoid and delusional, which means you should not be allowed to own so much as a BB gun.3 months ago
"Trained?" How many times have I heard that word lately! I would say US Border Patrol Agents are "trained". Yet a couple of months ago we saw them shooting at each other in "confusion", and one ended up dead - not at the hand of Mexican drug dealers, but by another border guard! In NY, when "trained" cops responded to a shooter outside the Empire State Building, 9 innocent people were shot by police, as they were aiming at the shooter. So let's put "trained" personnel in the schools! What could go wrong?5 months ago
Cheryl, you're awfully free with throwing away other people's vote. Would you be willing to give up YOUR vote in order to protect us from the threat of "foreigners" voting? I doubt it. Anyway, the only place that kind of voter fraud has ever been claimed is on Fox News. The real world knows it doesn't happen. The Republican party is trying desperately to hold on but time and tide are against them. There just aren't enough old, angry white men!8 months ago

Here's my question: How long are they going to leave that same poll on this site?10 months ago
Okay, so there is widespread belief that the Supreme Court decision was a dangerous disaster. But how many of those people will remember that when they are voting for a new Senator this year? In the next four years we'll lose at least 2 justices - probably more. If the country doesn't give control of the Senate to Democrats, we can expect more of the same. Think about it!12 months ago
"Joe's done nothing wrong" is the crux of it, isn't it? I don't believe there is really anyone who believes that statement. His supporters KNOW. They just don't care.12 months ago
One more time........there is virtually NO voter fraud in this country. There have been a handful of cases that usually end up having been caused by stupid people making mistakes. There is NO voter fraud. There are NO busloads of "illegals" coming across the border to vote.
There HAS been election fraud, time and time again. It has nearly always been committed by Republicans.
These voter ID laws are simply an ALEC effort to suppress the vote by making it harder and more expensive (or impossible) for people who usually vote Democratic to vote.Apr 19, 2012
CooperG, the freedoms we are losing include the right to privacy - thank you Republicans!
I suppose we are gaining something, though. The right to die in poverty and ignorance. Thanks again!Mar 18, 2012
