The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a crucial portion of Arizona’s SB 1070 that requires police to check a person’s immigration status while enforcing other laws if “reasonable suspicion” exists that the person is in the United States illegally.
The Court struck down provisions of the law that would have made it a state crime for illegal aliens to apply for a job and would have made it a misdemeanor for immigrants to fail to carry identification. For decades, federal law has required aliens to carry documentation showing their legal status.
“What is most noteworthy is that states now have an additional tool to fight the problems of illegal immigration, a tool they did not have prior to the Arizona law,” said Marilyn DeYoung, Chairman of the Board of Californians for Population Stabilization.
“This, coupled with the Supreme Court’s previous ruling upholding the ability of the states to institute mandatory E-Verify and see that jobs go to legal workers, means that states can do much to overcome the abysmal failure of the federal government to enforce our nation’s immigration laws.”11 months ago
It‘s very rare that you see President Obama admit wrongdoing after he’s done something. Unfortunately, it’s much more common for him to say something is a bad idea and then do it. Listing the number of instances would take too long, but it‘s safe to say it’s a common trend.
And now there’s just one more example. In the following clip, taken from a 2011 Univision Town Hall, President Obama admits that it’s beyond his power to suspend deportations for anyone because (surprise, surprise) there are laws on the books that he’d be breaking by doing that. In other words, the President acknowledges that to do what he did today would be a rank violation of the separation of powers. Hear him state the truth below.

This is far from law assaguila, and there is something that can be done about it. Vote out this fraud and take back America for Americans. Under Obongo the importation of poverty will continue until America is as bad off as Mexico is now. He is such an anti-American coward and traitor he should be impeached and thrown out of the country.11 months ago
I don't hate government or taxes. I do think we do ourselves a great harm to let our government rule us. They are supposed to be the servants. The larger they grow the more dominant they become and the less free we are. American corporate taxes are the highest in the world, and some would say it needs to be higher. 50% of Americans are paying for this huge government so that the other 50% can have a free ride and some say the haves need to pay even more. We have a food stamp president who wants as many people on the dole to collapse the system for the benefit of a few. http://gulagbound.com/30495/the-fox-friends-video-news-corp-doesnt-want-you-to-see/#.T82AuFKuX7M11 months ago
The term RINO implies that, despite party affiliation, politicians are not "true" Republicans. The label is usually acquired because a politician's voting record or positions on certain issues are considered to be at variance with some part of modern conservative ideology. They stand for OLD STINKING back room deals with Democrats. RINOS are NOT Working in the best interest of America but their Pocket books and to keep their seats in Washington. This happens so often once someone stays too LONG! A TRUE REPUBLICAN Fights for and remembers WE BELIEVE in SMALL LOCAL GOVERNMENT, Family Values, and does not waver from GOD COUNTRY PATRIOTISM VALUES and this is our pledge. I don't believe Scott Smith falls into this category at all.11 months ago
So would most Tea Party members Mike. A good and smart man like this doesn't happen everyday. I'm wondering why would he be labeled a RINO?11 months ago
It's pretty obvious that democrats, liberals, Hispanics, and various liberal organization are willing to spend a great deal of time and money fighting the implementation of SB1070, a law who's main purpose is to ferret out any and all criminal invaders who reside in our state. Since any criminal invaders that this law helps to identify wont automatically be deported by a federal government that has steadily refused to do it's job as outlined by congress, I fail to see why they are trying so hard to fight it. Could it just be that the criminal invaders just want to remain in the shadows and not be identified? That a few Hispanics might be inconvenienced seems a rediculous reason to fight it. Why are Americans of Hispanic descent trying so hard to protect criminals that hide in there communities? They should be ashamed of their actions. Instead they arrogantly demand that they shouldn't be even slightly inconvenienced even though they are the main reason it is so difficult to ferret out these criminals. So lets not call these people illegal aliens. Lets start calling them who they really are, criminals and invaders. 11 months ago
What is so funny really is how much liberals and conservatives fight over who did what and who's to blame when they both are. It's like they have you all believing there are two teams playing hard against each other when all it really is is a phoney wrestling match between the mad marauding republicans vs the stumbling bumbling democrats. They all practice their throws long before the game and you bunch of idiots think it's all the real thing. There is only one party and we weren't invited.12 months ago
Doesn't really matter and cannot be proved either way. Well it could but Obummer wishes his past to be as hidden as possible and many people in power wish the whole question to go away. So he's no doubt a fraud and you can't do anything about it. Doesn't that tell you something? A shadow figure that has hidden every document that would shed some light on him has been securely hidden away from you, yet some of you still vote for him? Could it be that you know as I do that he is an enemy of America and wants to topple our economy so to rebuild it in the socialist mold? Or are you people just as stupid as I think you are?12 months ago
Rich, I'm sorry. I forgot that America was responsible for 9/11 and all the other acts of terrorism committed on Americans throughout the world. Yes, you do live in a different state than we do called delusional.12 months ago
