This so called "father" or murderer and his very, very dysfunctional, felon of a son have absolutely NO credibility at all. These allegations are absolutely ludicrous and this man needs to crawl back into the hole whence he came.
Also, Ms. Casteix, this isn't a tragic story, it's an allegation made by an unsavory - at best - clan of criminals. Hold off on the aching until this is proved as valid happening.

I'm not blind to the serious flaws of the Catholic Church. Truth be told, there are some core tenets of the Church that I disagree. That being said, Father Jack is a special man. He carries a light around him and changes lives wherever he goes. 25 years later these charges come to light? And the financial issues? Give me a break. Father Jack has absolutely no need to "mismanage" money. He has written several books and has many good friends who would walk to the ends of the earth or write a check to him in a heartbeat. He has no need to steal. Olmstead or someone out there has an axe to grind because this smacks of a witch hunt. This is ridiculous and a crime. SHAME ON YOU OLMSTEAD. Shame on you Dioceses. I'm sick to my stomach and outraged at this smear campaign - Funny how the human resources and financial issues and this horrible allegation all popped out at once. Something stinks and I think it's the smell of a big, fat rat. [censored]Jun 24, 2011
Ummm. Yeah, right Rich. You obviously haven't read the entire tale of Susan Brock. This is NOT a case of a lustful young lad having an experience with an older woman. She is a manipulative, selfish, abusive pedophile. She victimized him, plain and simple. Even when he tried to break it off, when he wanted her to leave him alone she threatened to tell his friends, his family and his girlfriend's parents. This happened over many years. Does that sound like he was pursuing her? Of course it doesn't. His school had to ban her from the premises. He did not want her in his life.
Secondly, Benjamin Franklin was speaking about young men at the age of consent. 14 wasn't the age of consent during his time and it's certainly not now. Don't super impose your weird cougar fantasies onto this situation. Educate yourself, then spout.
As for Susan Brock, I hope she serves every single day of that 13 years. She was beyond wrong in this case. I'm glad she'll lose her licenses, her dignity and the rest of her youthfulness. Apr 9, 2011
This is a BORDER issue. The marijuana....whatever. This guy fled Mexico to AZ stay in a "safe house". Safe from what? Drug cartels that do not belong in this country. Let's call a safe house what it is: an dwelling holding CRIMINALS. Because if you're here illegally then you're committing a crime. Think of all the tax money spent investigating this crime, incarceration and deportation. We should send a bill to Mexico. If they can't control their own people they should freaking pay. These idiots came to Arizona and sh*t in our sandbox and our state is left to clean it up.
I'm so d*mn tired of hearing about the border this, the border that. Clamp down. Shut that border, stop prosecuting our border officers for using force to deter illegals. I am a liberal - yup, a crunchy sort of person - but this issue gets me in a flipping twist. Grrrrrr. Ok, rant over.[censored]Mar 3, 2011
Whaaat? The Constitution and the Bill of Rights doesn't even come into play in this situation. The city of Tempe absolutely has the right to dictate the way businesses advertise and display signage. There are city codes - perfectly LEGAL codes- that are made in order to keep people safe and the city a pleasant place to live in. This man is displaying advertising - they are called wind sail banners and they are bought in a marketing catalog, not a flag store. Ever notice all the light box signs and blight in Mesa? Crappy little businesses everywhere? THAT falls directly on the shoulder of Mesa's city codes. Tempe cares about itself and the way it looks. There's nothing wrong with taking care of your city.
Eminent domain? Oh Lawdy, I'm going to just post and go, because this is just too easy. I think they call it a canned hunt.
Mr. Carwash is a moron. "My customers tells me it looks like the American Flag.". Idiot. Fly an actual flag then OR move to Broadway and Dobson in Mesa. I'll even help you pack.Feb 18, 2011
It happened in Mesa? Shocking!
When I cross the city line into Mesa I can feel the dirt latching onto me. As far as the East Valley goes, if it's trash, trashy or trashed - it's in Mesa. It's like its own penal colony for people who like to live in unkempt, run down houses. Thank you Mesa for providing such a valuable service to our illegals, our poor, meth heads and the ever present white trash. Someone needs a place to park their extra cars, aluminum boat and 1973 Winnebago. For every Mesa house with a chain link fence in the front yard, the home values in my city go up $100 and for that, I salute you. Mesa City Council: Real Men of GeniusFeb 3, 2011
[censored] I say this sincerely: Child molesters are unable to be fixed. They victimize over and over again.
Pedophiles or violent sex offenders must be castrated and sent to prison indefinitely. What else can we do? Kill them? They have a right to live. Just not with the general population. Justice demands that Jeffrey M. VanWagone be locked up forever. The back of his prison shirt should read "Child Molester" for all his boyfriends to see.
If released he WILL strike again, except this time he's going to rape and then KILL someone's baby girl. Dead little girls can't talk or tell.
When I get a stain on my shirt I remove it permanently. I don't cover it up for 6 months and then display it again. He needs to be bleached from everyday life.Feb 2, 2011
