This coin deal is Deja vu all over again.
Bringing it up again in these tough times is one more sign that Representative Shweikert is not taking people's troubles seriously.
My neighbor was foreclosed on yesterday. What is Shweikert doing to help people who are losing their homes? What is he doing to help neighborhoods full of foreclosed houses? And the businesses that depended on serving homeowners?
What is he doing to help cities cope with this and with the needs of increasing numbers of people who can't afford the basics?

What does Pearce like about inviting lawsuits against our state? 17,000 people in his district voted for Pearce and he claims to speak for Arizona. I'm for recalling him.

His bills hurt our state's economy. I'd rather pay more taxes than pay for his hubris with a worsening economy.
I'm tired of his baiting people he see's as outsiders. Besides how can brown people be outsiders in Arizona? With a little historical perspective this looks ridiculous. Native Americans are being stopped in the search for immigrants. And who in our state doesn't come from an immigrant background...

Ok, so now when is the legislature going to work on jobs and the economy. We've had enough frothing at the mouth about immigrants. Nice distraction from a problem that won't give way to simplistic solutions. Mar 19, 2011
Arizona's economic recovery depends on education. Without state commitment to education, employers will flee. I recognize some new businesses have opened and the tax receipts are looking better some of our cities. But if we do not commit to maintaining a well educated workforce, these gains will be short term. We will loose some of our employers and others will not choose to locate here. Mar 19, 2011
Nice article. I couldn't agree more. The legislature is wasting time and that is not good for our state. The feds make a nice scapegoat when we aren't willing to face reality. Arizona's economy is up to us, not the feds. And our state's economy is not going to look any better in the future if we cut education to the bone. Thanks for a well thought out piece. Feb 6, 2011
