By the way Leon Ceniceros MMC is the wave of the future. With sky rocketing student loan debt, incredibly high college tutition, and the ever growing need of a college degree to get a good job. Community colleges are going to do nothing but grow. I don't think it will be long before they are all offering 4 year degrees. So for all your bashing of Pottery 101 there is new focuses on math, science, and trade classes. I would love to see the City pump millions into the school so maybe the teenage punks that hang out at Fiesta Mall can get an education, get a job, start paying taxes, etc... 12 months ago
Wow! I think any negative comments to this great news has to come from short sightedness. The city plans for downtown and redoing the Fiesta are are going to pay off in the long run. Is it a magic bullet to revitalizing the area maybe not, but it is definitly going to start the ball rolling in the positive direction. The reason why fiesta area has become so run down is because the more well off members of our community have moved out to the surrounding areas like Chandler, Gilbert, Queen creek. Taking with them their purchasing power and with it the resulting revenue from sales tax. By revitalizing the area, bringing in colleges, and creating places to act as a destination point they can draw back in some of the consumers that they lost years ago. In fact it is there only hope for having it completely become the slum of the valley. Which it pretty much is anymore. By doing nothing all we are going to get is what has been happening. Further demiss of the Mesa economy.12 months ago
Rational Human is right in that it is a law that needs to be in place per the constitution.
Never thought I would say "Rational Human is right"... really hurts!!!!
Now that being said should Russell Pearce get any money?
NOOOOOOOO! They were all contributions and if he wants to run again he should get new contributions!! I would think that heos a greater hypocrite than I already do if he took tax payer money.May 3, 2012
Does that include Democratic sheriffs too? Or just Arpaio who is out to defend our rights and the constitution! Everyone knows he would never use his office for his own personal gain!!! Never ever!
You want Obama out! Recall, go to a battle ground state and rally the GOP base and independents to your cause. Throw him out of office! Make him a one term never again president. That is how you exercise power in this country. Not by garbage like this. Mar 2, 2012
One politician once said that when you look at political office from the outside it looks like a cess pool. Once elected it feels more like a Jacuzzi. Mr. Sherwood would play the same games if he sat in office right now. Mar 2, 2012
I think we should drug test everyone. Now I just need to know how to get a license to run a drug testing lab. $10 for the screening test and then $100 for the confirmatory testing. Then there is also paying for the blood draw fee. I like this ideaMar 2, 2012
I think it is a great idea. You are right Masterrogue666 it can go both ways and gives a great record for prosecuting criminal's were showing infractions by police officers. Both I think would be a good thing.Mar 2, 2012
Maybe some day the Arizona legislature will actually focus on real law making??? I can only dream it seems. [sad]Mar 2, 2012
Some of the kindest, honest, and most giving people I know are Mormon. The fact that you would base an your personal judgement of someone on the history of their religon alone shows me you have a level of ignorance that does not belong in picking the next president.Mar 2, 2012
