Good for the bus driver. If this was what I think it was, perhaps think about snip snip on the boy8 months ago
The problem with putting flouride in the water supply is the waste it causes and then the environmental impact. Why should water be treated when 95% of it goes on the lawn, down the washing machine, or out the toilet? Put flouride in milk or something else that people eat/drink.8 months ago
So you want to raise my taxes by 25 bucks per year because you gave the Cubs a subsidy? I don't think so....11 months ago

Nice story. Thanks for the profile.11 months ago
"state’s public schools, which already endured $600 million to $700 million in cuts in the past several years" They need to finish the statement. "after a 1.2 BILLION increase the few years before that". Go check the budget and you will find it true.
Cerulean, I didn't look at the link but if it is regarding the private school tax credit, even the liberal az republic found it SAVED more money than it cost.Feb 17, 2011
""Funding family planning saves the government over $3 for every $1 spent on health care and welfare programs," "'
That may be true. But let's take it to extremes, if we killed all the people on ACCCHS think where we would be in savings. Oh wait, if you killed all children we wouldn't be burdened by this Education issue. Hey, I got an idea, that Jewish race seems to cause a lot of problems so..... HOW DID HITLER START? What a silly argument. WHO PAYS FOR THE $1 in the FIRST PLACE? It is the taxpayer, but we have LESS of them because we allow this murder in the first place. Sure, perhaps RINOs will support PP, but true conservatives don't.Feb 17, 2011
wow, the first 2 posters are dead on. The other thing to consider is the budget is 1 BILLION not 200 something million. Don't just talk op budget. Talk ALL budget. You Mesa leaders have brought our bonding debt from 1200 to 2500 per capita from 2000 to 2006 alone. It takes money to support that. Yet, in the last 10 years, you have tried to bring in 2 water parks (sorry, but Rhodes pool wave runner is a water park) with city tax money to compete against a viable water park which DOESNT need tax money (Sun Splash)., you have grought in a shopping mall (Riverview) and given up all taxes on it and the tenants all came from a shopping mall which was paying taxes (Fiesta). You have managed to lose good paying jobs (GM Proving grounds 70k engineer salaries) and brought in cruddy ones (Gaylord 25k ones) while subsidizing the cruddy pay employers (11 million from general fund (read the 400 page agreement folks, it is in there)) which isn't even getting built, you have given a baseball team which is under contract to stay in your stadium a new stadium for next to nothing and taken it straight from the cities coffers at a price of 100 + million AND YOU WONDER WHAT TO DO WITH A REVENUE SLUMP?????????Feb 13, 2011
why oh why are they doing this. Ok, fine, you want a loan and you have a cruddy credit history THINK about why you have a cruddy credit history. If, and this is just conceptually, if they think about providing this, there should be ZERO, NADA, NONE rollovers. If you don't pay the law should say a reposession must be made....... I would consider that kind of bill.Feb 13, 2011
