Which brings up the questions: 1) Did President Obama know about any so-called investigations of Republican non-profits? 2) What did the President know about the IRS targeting of conservative groups? Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., House Oversight Committee Chairman, is one of several GOP lawmakers who have suggested the Obama administration is trying to cover up the circumstances and aftermath of the attack on the Benghazi outpost. Issa said that he had issued the subpoena to retired veteran diplomat Thomas Pickering to force him to appear at a deposition next week. Issa also said he would consider lifting the subpoena for next Thursday's deposition if Pickering agreed to show up on his own. Whistleblower Greg Hicks, who was number two to Ambassador Chris Stevens, testified that U.S. special forces personnel were ordered to stand down as the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya was taking place. GOP lawmakers should question the Obama administration who gave the stand down order.

Why were State Department employees forbidden to talk to a US representative on a fact-finding mission?” -------------------------------------------------------- The Obama Administration was trying to fight Republican claims of a cover-up by releasing secret emails about the Benghazi scandal. The emails confirm the State Department was trying to cover its tracks, removing words like "al Qaeda" and "terrorism" from what Obama officials were allowed to tell the press. They also deleted references to CIA warnings about terror threats in Benghazi. But, a nationwide Gallup Poll survey, conducted May 14-15, shows that Americans believe the government's handling of last September's deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi deserves further investigation. Conductors of the survey noted that Republicans and Independents have a much keener level of interest and much more strongly agree that the government should be investigated. While, just under half of the survey Democrats feel that the Benghazi scandals needs more investigation.

And former IRS Commissioner Steven Miller is facing a day of tough questions from lawmakers today regarding the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of the Tea Party and other conservative groups.

• Stephen Viramontes’ conclusion: “If the president is serious about his support for more domestic oil and gas development, it’s time that his policies actually try to accomplish those stated goals.” But, President Obama is not serious about supporting more domestic oil and gas development. By blocking new potential oil production in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge’s 1.5 million-acre coastal plain in Alaska – and by denying a permit for TransCanada to build the billion-dollar Keystone XL oil pipeline – Obama’s goal is to transfer more and more of the wealth out of this country through buying OPEC oil. Our most pressing need as a nation is to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and the best way to do that is to fill the Keystone XL oil pipeline – and shipment of the rapid increased American oil production in North Dakota.
