PHOENIX - The southbound lanes of the Loop 101 in the Scottsdale area reopened earlier than scheduled.

For drivers who plan to use southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix this weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation recommends they consider an alternate route to avoid roadway work.

Price Road in Chandler will be closed in both directions this weekend as crews continue construction of the bridge to link HOV lanes on Loop 101 (Price Freeway) with new HOV lanes on Loop 202 (Santan Freeway). Northbound Price Road will be closed at Spectrum Boulevard and southbound Price Road will be closed between Frye Road and Loop 202 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Motorists traveling to shopping centers and businesses located north of the Loop 202 and Price Road should use Dobson Road.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is cautioning motorists to prepare for lane restrictions on Interstate 17 near Black Canyon City.

Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between Shea Boulevard and Thomas Road from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, Arizona Department of Transportation officials announced.

A vehicle rolled over on the I-17 freeway Sunday, closing all traffic on the southbound I-17 until further notice.

Southbound Loop 101 between U.S. 60 and Loop 202 will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for carpool lane construction.

The eastbound section from Interstate 10 and Dobson Road will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Also, the southbound Loop 101 ramp to eastbound Loop 202 will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
