For more than a century, Tempe residents have gathered for a reunion every year to socialize, talk about life in the city and share memories. The gathering will happen again Oct. 15, when the Tempe Old Settlers Association holds its 103rd celebration. The event draws people from across the Valley to share stories, feast on a potluck lunch, be entertained and elect association officers.
The Tempe Old Settlers Association will hold its 102nd annual celebration of Tempe heritage on Oct. 23. The event includes a potluck lunch, entertainment and the election of association officers. Old Settlers members must have been born in Tempe or lived in the city for at least 30 years.
Tempeans will vote Tuesday on seven City Council candidates running for three seats, and for a mayor who faces no opponent on the ballot.
