    LOS ANGELES - Gidget the Chihuahua, the bug-eyed, big-eared star of 1990s Taco Bell commercials who was a diva on and off the screen, has died. She was 15. Gidget suffered a massive stroke late Tuesday night at her trainer's home in Santa Clarita and had to be euthanized, said Karin McElhatton, owner of Studio Animal Services in Castaic, which owned the dog.

    A robber got away with cash at a Taco Bell drive-through Sunday. According to Mesa police, two men in an older model 4-door sedan pulled up to the pay window at 1125 S. Dobson Road and pointed a gun that was larger than a pistol but shorter than a rifle at the cashier.

    Thank you, to the Good Samaritans: The couple who stopped traffic in the middle of Chandler Boulevard at 40th Street; Dr. Russ Roberge, DDS, who got out of his car to help with the two other gentlemen who came out of the Taco Bell to push Alyssa's car! It stalled in the middle of the intersection in the middle of rush hour on March 2 at about 5:30 pm. I wish I knew all your names. I'm so grateful to you for stopping what you were doing to lend a helping hand. Your efforts got her and her car safely out of traffic to the nearby parking lot.
