Chanel Brown really knows how to prepare for a role. In her four years at Chandler Valley Christian, Brown pounded home more than 2,000 kills from her outside hitter position, including 881 this past fall as a senior. Not too bad for a setter.

TEAMS TO WATCH: Brophy boys: The Broncos begin a new era, as Pat O’Neill takes over as coach for Bill Kopas. In addition to winning 26 of the past 27 state titles, O’Neill believes he’s walking into Phoenix Brophy’s most talented team in years.
