Underscoring deeply conflicted characters, who are on a mission to reconceive their unsatisfying circumstances, has become director David O. Russell's sweet spot. From his raw 1996 film, "Flirting with Disaster," to last year's acclaimed "Silver Linings Playbook," he effectively unravels the disarray.

“If you’re a conservative and stop to rescue victims in a car accident like Mitt Romney’s son did, you’re mocked and ridiculed by those on the left. If you’re a liberal and kill someone with your car, then run away, you’re elected senator of Massachusetts like Ted Kennedy!”
A free-market advocacy group claims that the decision by Gov. Jan Brewer to expand the state's Medicaid program will immediately increase the number of people in the program by nearly 90 percent.
What’s with all the political posturing and saber-rattling by our “desk jockey admirals and generals” in the House and Senate? We see them rabidly calling for everything short of “carpet bombing” Tehran and turning it into another Dresden. Of course, none (or almost none) of the military-aged sons (or daughters for that matter) of these politicians have ever been in or ever will be in the U.S. military and have to fight in the wars that their mommies and daddies vote for.
“Biden, Kerry and Obama had it right in 2006. It would be foolish to invoke the nuclear option in the Senate. I guess Obama’s greed for power has overtaken his intelligence. That’s okay, everyone now should know his true goal is to be king, not president. History will remove the upper case and remember him as ‘president.’”
The president of the state Senate is blasting a request for lots more money for Child Protective Services, saying the agency may have wasted the funds restored to it in the last two years.
Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus was one of the chief authors of Obamacare. He helped write it, he voted for it, and he thought it would be great for America. That is, until he started listening to his constituents three years later. At an April 2013 Senate Budget Committee hearing, Baucus said of Obamacare that he saw “a huge train wreck coming.”
The nuclear deal brokered by the United States and Iran in Geneva is historic. Just as the agreement to peacefully disarm Syria of its chemical weapons demonstrated, diplomacy makes the world a safer place.

As Executive Director of The Arc of Arizona, an organization dedicated to serving people with disabilities since 1958, I see daily the impact of committed people joining together to advocate for the rights and community participation of people with disabilities.
Today, Harry Reid invoked the so called “Nuclear Option” — a critical change in the rules of the Senate that provided a voice for the minority party. When Obama had control of the House and the Senate we saw him ram through Obamacare. Obama has three more years to exercise his agenda but is fearful that he may actually lose control of the senate in 2014 due to the public backlash against Obamacare. His burning agenda is to stack the DC court with left wing judges and place more liberals in key positions within the government. He has stated that he feels these nominees are being held up by the GOP via filibuster. So, getting rid of this provision allows Obama to act with impunity in regards to nominees thus ensuring that he can place liberals in any position he wishes.
“I was glad to see Dems in the Senate use the nuclear option. Republicans had used obstruction tactics to the point it had evolved into torment of American people.”
I was 4 ½ years old when I delivered my first news report.
I disagree 100 percent with L.J. Rupp’s letter that seems to say the members of Congress are a bunch of morons and idiots who can’t get anything done!

Advocates for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (English translation: amnesty) like to point out that immigrants in the past have flocked to America and made important contributions to our nation. That’s true, but the America of 1913 was different from 2013 in ways that greatly affect the probability that immigrants will become contributing citizens.
Sheesh, what did they expect?
Leave the panic of the horrible Obamacare fiasco to the Dems trying to save their seats and concentrate and preparing and presenting a basic plan for insurance to the public.
