Choosing Paul Ryan is a game-changer.
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Mitt Romney introduced Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his Republican vice presidential running mate on Saturday, turning to the architect of a deeply conservative and intensely controversial long-term budget plan that would remake Medicare and cut trillions in federal spending.

In my spare time designing special bicycles, I have constructed a tandem for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Both of the seats are perfectly round and swivel 180 degrees so they can continue to change directions as the wind blows. I have a handlebar on each end with two front forks because they both like to steer independently from each other. They can pedal backward or forward and have multi-speed gearing either way so that they can backpedal out of trouble as fast as they get into it. This bike has no brakes. It doesn’t need them because, try as I might, it’s not going anywhere, pretty much like their campaign.
Mitt Romney picked a VP and his choice revealed a very disturbing truth. They don’t care about the majority of American society. They are only interested in working to advance the agenda of greed and individualism.
TAMPA, Fla. — With a no-nonsense tone, Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan embraced his role as Barack Obama's top agitator — and Mitt Romney's chief defender
One of the most gratifying aspects of watching “This Is 40,” the new film from comedy mogul Judd Apatow, is seeing this sort of “Apatowian universe” that he’s created coalesce before our eyes.
As the credits rolled and the lights of the sparsely populated theater came up, a wave of indifference crashed over me. I was pretty certain I loved what I had just witnessed, but why? And quite frankly, what had I just witnessed?
In a summer that has given more comedy misfires like “That’s My Boy” than breakout hits like “Ted,” “The Watch” arrives with little fanfare but plenty of vulgarity. Six months down the road, it is more likely to be remembered for its controversial name change than the film’s quality itself (The original title, “Neighborhood Watch,” was switched following the Trayvon Martin killing in February).
Who loves Medicare more? President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's running mate vied for that distinction Saturday as Medicare became the latest flashpoint in a presidential campaign of flying elbows.
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "To preserve independence ... we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and Liberty or profusion and servitude." Rep. Paul Ryan's Prosperity Project Budget means that Americans will get the chance to make that "election" between two competing visions of our future.
It has been six years since Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Farris sat in the director’s chair, but the “Little Miss Sunshine” helmers have made a magnificent return with “Ruby Sparks,” one of the most intelligent and heartfelt comedies this year. It is theatrical in its over-the-top humor and deeply affecting in its more somber moments, but is sure to make you leave the theater smiling.
Forget those nauseating TV spots drenched in the sugary pop songs of Rihanna and Maroon 5, with images of shirtless men parading down the beach. If you come to “Magic Mike” expecting the senseless ladies’ night out the advertisements promise, you might be dissatisfied. Although stripping plays a key role, it is merely a jumping off point for a much darker, bleaker film.
Every Friday at 5:30 p.m., Edward LeBeau checks the pantry at his Scottsdale Catholic parish to see if there is enough food and money for the families he will visit next week.

He'll take the win, but Paul Manoogian still feels his Desert Vista girls soccer squad is lacking something.
How lucky the younger generation is going to be.
