There are amateur singing opportunities like karaoke, but then there’s a community “Messiah” singalong.
Messiah’s Mansion, a fullscale model of what may have been Moses’ sanctuary, has been set up at the southeast corner of Power and Elliot roads in Gilbert.
“During the debate Mitt Romney stole Obama’s platform. Now Romney’s heart bleeds for the middle class and calls for shared sacrifice and he’s treated like the Messiah. For years now Pres. Obama has called for shared sacrifice, and he’s accused of class- warfare.”
The job creator has become the messiah in our economic doldrums. Some say we need to provide these messiahs with all sorts of economic advantages so the rest of us may have the privilege of working.

A sad spectre haunts Desert Rose Theatre’s winter play, “Joyful Noise,” though it’s probably not apparent to anyone making a first foray to the 55-seat strip mall playhouse in west Mesa.
Selling out a performance at the world-famous Tabernacle at Temple Square in Salt Lake City is an accommplishment in itself, but doing it in 20 minutes is extraordinary. Yet that’s what the East Valley Mormon Choral Organization has done, in just its second year of operation.

In its biggest event of the year, Desert Vista High School’s orchestra will be accompanied by the symphonic band, guitar classes, and the Pointe Club for the annual holiday concert next week.
