    Three Mesa Unified School District teachers have been named semifinalists for the Rodel Charitable Foundation's Exemplary Teacher Initiative. The teachers being honored for "extraordinarily high levels in high poverty schools" are: Eleanor Scheman, a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary School; and James Clemens, a fourth-grade teacher, and Nancy LaSlavic, a third-grade teacher, at Kerr Elementary School.
