Putting their past behind them, the Mountain View Toros are rushing into the postseason after a one-year hiatus with a little momentum.

Some will call it a statement game. Or say that Mountain View is “back.” It's either the resurgence of a once-storied program or some such cliché.

Missed opportunities, made opportunities, late-game drama, special teams swings. A neighborhood rivalry.

The accolades from a state championship berth are starting to roll in for Mountain Pointe.

Facing an emotional Mountain View squad at home, the Hamilton boys soccer team was able to score two goals in overtime to hold off the Toros 3-1 and advance to the second round.
