Voters who have seen how medical marijuana works in Arizona may get a chance to extend the ability to use the drug to all other adults.
After the shellacking that the Republicans put on us Democrats a couple of weeks ago, I may need a “recommendation” from my doctor for the 5 ounces of medical marijuana each month provided for in Proposition 203 to relieve my life-threatening anxiety! If your son or daughter uses marijuana, where would you prefer they purchase it from? Drug dealers who also sell other drugs like cocaine and heroin, or medical marijuana cardholders?
Here’s a challenge for America’s drug crusaders: Show us a crime of any kind committed under the influence of cannabis from 1750 to 1920. I have searched the archives in vain seeking a homicide, assault, rape or any other violent act connected to marijuana while it was legal.

State health officials say a delay in opening the first medical marijuana dispensary in the Phoenix area means there will be a delay in starting to phase out cardholders’ authorizations to grow their own.
Last time I checked, both Attorney General Tom Horne and Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery were employees of the state of Arizona, not the federal government.
