  • article Letters: Security priorities are messed up

    Thursday, November 18, 2010 3:31 pm

What is wrong with this picture? Illegal immigrants stream across the border daily with backpacks, guns, drugs and whatever without so much as a challenge from federal authorities, and so-called sanctuary cities refuse to inquire about an individual’s right to be in our country. But American citizens have to submit to outrageous intrusion on our privacy to board a domestic flight to grandma’s for Thanksgiving dinner. Arizona tries to enforce existing law against illegal immigration and the federal government challenges THEM in court while refusing in many cases to prosecute or deport criminal aliens that end up in our justice system. Exactly who or what is our government more concerned about here?
