    Denise Martinez, one of Arizona's first female directors of golf at such prestigious clubs as Forest Highlands in Flagstaff and Silverleaf in Scottsdale, was killed Sept. 18 in a motor-scooter crash in Truckee, Calif. Martinez was 46.
