Dear U.S. Citizen: Please accept our most egregiously sincere apologies for the difficulties and inconveniences the secret monitoring of your phone records and email and GPS units and foreign travel and bank accounts and yes, even your snail mail has evidently caused.
Firefighters say flames that rushed through a Mesa home early Wednesday were fueled by a hoarding situation.
LOS ANGELES — People want their dog to be a friend, not afraid.
Mojo is a Pomeranian rescued from a hoarding situation so he needs some work. This boy is a happy and very active 5-pound, 3-year-old, who is learning what it’s like to be held and loved, to receive regular quality meals and grooming. When rescued he had no idea how to walk on a leash, and with each day he improves. Mojo is not potty trained and needs to learn to be productive outside. He will require a patient home willing to continue training and working with him. Mojo was rescued with six other Poms from the same hoarder: Leila, Trixie, Mindy and Flame (also available for adoption), and Nina and Chelsea (adopted). Mojo will be neutered and receive a dental prior to adoption. He is vaccinated and has a microchip.
If living well is truly the best revenge, Susan Lucci is getting hers in spades.
The documentary "The Queen of Versailles" begins life as a juicy guilty pleasure, allowing us to gawk and cluck at the nouveau-riche ostentation of an elderly time-share mogul and his much-younger trophy wife as they build their dream home: a 90,000-square-foot palace that would be the biggest house in America.
I talk a good game about getting older. I’ve used this space to share about my defiant gray hair, and my courage in the face of mounting birthdays. Miss a birthday because I want to camouflage my age? Hah! I’m 52, dangit! Where’s my present?
If, like me, you spent this winter hibernating and eating baked goods, your home may have paid the price. Maybe it got a little disorganized, or is starting to look like an episode of “Hoarders.”

PASADENA, Calif. - When it comes to talking up "Awake," his new series, actor Jason Isaacs would rather be tight-lipped.
Dozens of animals housed in cages or boxes with waste accumulating. Stacks of newspapers and magazines that date back several years. Boxes of books blocking hallways.

It's been getting to me, I must admit.
Last week, Piggie Poo, Arizona's Small Animal Rescue picked up about 100 guinea pigs that will be in need of homes in the coming weeks. The guinea pigs, many of them sick or pregnant, were dumped at a California shelter by a local hoarder. They were transported from San Diego to Yuma and then to the PETCO at Tatum and Bell in Phoenix. Most survived and are on the mend toward healthy, happy lives.
Life hasn't been kind to Charles, a 3-year-old cocker spaniel. When the folks at AZ RESCUE saved him from the euthanasia list, Charles' ears were so matted with hair, sticks and twigs that they weighed nearly a pound each. He had a skin infection, an eye infection, and was so skinny. You wouldn't know any of that, though, by looking at Charles today. A healthy and very happy-go-lucky dog, he loves to be around people, to be cuddled, and to play.
Workers with the Phoenix Herpetological Society returned to the Valley Monday from northwestern Arizona where they rescued seven of 30 reptiles - including three very large reticulated pythons ranging from 16 to 21 feet in length - that were being hoarded at a residence. Other animals there included more snakes, lizards, turtles and a Sonoran tiger salamander, an endangered species naturally found only in a small area of southern Arizona and northern Mexico, according to a news release.
In March, Prince was alone in the desert, surviving the elements and dodging traffic along Interstate 10 west of Buckeye. Last week, the 2-year-old golden retriever started work as a police drug-detection dog.
Snagging a Best Drama Daytime Emmy nomination has been much-needed good news for the cast of "General Hospital."
TEMPE – Firefighters had no reason to suspect anything but a house fire, but when three of them walked up to the front door, an explosion hit them with a wall of flame. Two were injured, including a fire captain burned on his face and hands.
