All the proceeds go the Desert Vista baseball booster club.

Peoria residents Ian and Erin Long are proof of that.  A friend of theirs had been helping to build new homes for the poor in Rocky Point for about 10 years and a few years ago moved down there full time to continue that work with an organization called 1Mission.

    In August, 14-year-old Dustin Cote was mowing his family's lawn in San Tan Valley when he accidentally sliced off several of his fingers on his left hand. According to a news release, his hand had slipped while working with wet grass near the mower, causing it to slide under the blade.

Participating schools receive a $1 cash donation for every $20 receipt collected from any Fresh & Easy store from Sept. 15 through Dec. 31. The school that raises the most money in the state through receipt collection will also win a $5,000 bonus.
