Tempe native Blake Webb spent three years in marketing before deciding to pursue his dream of acting and move to Los Angeles. Acting clichés aside, it took a while for Webb to begin his professional acting journey, but the two years he’s been in the business have been busy with independent films, shorts and even a play, and has produced a résumé loaded with lead roles.

I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the original 1968 Planet of the Apes film, but the new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is not only the best out of the eight films in the Apes franchise, it’s the best movie I’ve seen this year and one of the most exciting, thought-provoking and entertaining films ever made. This movie is jaw-dropping astounding from start to finish and is a simian spectacular of the highest order.
The Team America song, “Pearl Harbor,” probably said it best when the lyrics asked, “Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?” Unfortunately the answer is that the infamous director’s films continue to make a crap-ton of money, despite how god-awful bad most of them are; and when it comes to the amount of moola his latest flick, Transformers: Age of Extinction, is likely to make, I’m certain it will be no exception.
You thought it was tricky to train a dragon?
I usually don’t expect much from books or movies geared towards the “young adult” crowd, so I was shocked by how much I enjoyed The Fault in our Stars, a film about two teenage cancer patients fighting death and falling in love. This is one of the best romance stories I’ve ever seen and it is as smart and inspiring as it is heart-breaking.

Best known internationally for his performance in the FOX series “House,” the Golden Globe-nominated actor Hugh Laurie — who’s also an accomplished musician — will perform June 3 at Mesa Arts Center with the Copper Bottom Band.
Class of 2014. Fourteen doesn't have much of a ring to it, does it? Maybe it's not the number though that lacks inspiration. Maybe it's the fact that, we've been down this path before, experienced the same euphoric emotions as we do now, and had the same sense of pride and accomplishment we all currently carry in our buzzing minds. To all of you, I ask one simple question: “What does graduation really mean then?”
“To the Ventor 5/7/14, don’t hold your breath waiting for an accounting of the funds raised for the ‘Prescott 19.’ We’re still waiting for an accounting of the missing millions funneled to the Red Cross for 9/11 victims.”
It would be easy to go full-geek and rip into the new X-movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, for straying so significantly from its source material; but this “Xemplary” film is so much fun that I’m forced to forgive its many offenses. This movie is a first-rate super-drama and an optic blast of eye-candy (not to mention it is also fantastically funny.)
St. Lawrence River activities myriad, but heed the weather changes on the Gaspe peninsula
“We lived in Gilbert for over 20 years and all five of our children attended Gilbert schools. I was always impressed by the teachers and faculty of the various schools. Gilbert had a reputation for having some of the best schools and administrators in the state of Arizona. It is so sad to see what has been happening! The current Gilbert school board members (especially the current president) need to remember that their first priority and responsibility is to provide the best schools for the children/young people of Gilbert, and NOT their personal or political views!”
The Democrats complain the press, general public and Republicans are harassing them over the Benghazi scandal. Washington tends to forget who their bosses are, we the citizens. And each and every government worker is accountable to the people who employ them, even the President and those under him/her.
Imagine what would happen if the world’s religions began to condemn the morality of our indescribable, horrendous cruelty to animals. If theologians discussed this unspeakable cruelty, it would begin to diminish.

AP- On its surface, "The Other Woman" is a very welcome thing: A movie starring talented, funny women with their own punch lines and everything. In the movies, this is bizarrely rare.
