    The newly founded Phoenix Dance Cooperative with their Soul Shock Dance Company had an outstanding showing at the recent Kid's Artistic Review (KAR) dance competition at the Mesa Arts Center. Most notable was the winning of the Federation of Dance Competition's "People's Choice Award" for their routine Turn to Stone. This award is chosen at the consensus of all judges for the best routine out of all 499 routines that competed over the weekend.
