Fighting both wind and foe, Arcadia’s Kate Staudenmaier scored the game’s only goal on a free kick in the 56th minute to knock visiting Marana out of the Division II girls soccer state tournament and carry the Titans into the quarterfinals.
While the girls soccer state tournaments began on Tuesday, and the boys begin on Wednesday night, the competition figures to be as top-level in all three divisions as previous years.
