Chandler: After a 19-20 season last year, the Wolves are already halfway toward that win total this season with 9 seniors on the team and a taste of the postseason in 2012-2013. In addition to Casey at the net, the Wolves have three others at least 6-foot-3 led by Andrew McCall, Jonah Orndorff, Cory Simon and Jon Minetto.

In today’s age, it doesn’t take long for once-proud football programs to fall quickly from relevance.
Basha nearly knocked off Hamilton last week but ended up falling, 32-31. The Bears have been competitive against everyone on their schedule but are 4-3 with losses to Centennial, Westview and Hamilton. Quarterback Zach Werlinger has been very impressive this season but faces a tough Highland defense, led by ballhawk Chip White in the secondary. If the Hawks can force some turnovers, they have a shot to pull off the upset. Highland is 5-2, but its two games after this are Chandler and Hamilton, so a win here would be a big help for its playoff chances. The Hawks should hang tough, but Basha's offensive firepower may win out in the end.
Prediction: Basha 27, Highland 20
-- Kyle Odegard
The Bears were in control for much of the contest against Highland but let it slip away late. Basha drops to .500 on the season, but the losses have come to Westview, Centennial, Highland and Hamilton. The Bears drop a couple spots in the rankings but remain in the top-10. They have another tough test next week against Chandler.
The Chandler-Hamilton game went as this rivalry tends to go for 47 1/2 minutes on Friday night.
THIS WEEK’S GAMES
The stat stares squarely at Chandler's psyche: 0 for 17.
