With the possible exception of those communities along the Colorado River border, none of our Arizona cities face competition from other states on wages which a 10-cent increase is likely to become significant. Sure, grocery sales might have to increase by $8,000 or so per day to cover the new expense. But where all grocers have to pay more for labor, will the public be eating that much less? No.
