The crowd cheered loudly for all the recognizable names — from Missy Franklin, to Ryan Lochte, Nathan Adrian to Matt Grevers and many more among the lot — from last year’s London Olympic Games.
“The 100 is my baby — and it’s still my baby," said Olympian Breeja Larson. "I heard so many breaststrokers at trials (last year) say, ‘Alright, the 100 is done, now it’s time for the real breaststroke.’ It almost hurt my feelings. Mesa’s own Olympic champion Breeja Larson will return to her hometown to compete at the Mesa Swimming Grand Prix, this Thursday through Saturday at the Skyline Aquatic Center.
