    Soha Ghanian is a high school senior at Horizon Community Learning Center in Ahwatukee Foothills. She is one of only three semifinalists representing the state of Arizona in the natural and international Siemens Science Competition. Her winning project involved using neural stem cells to treat EAE, an animal model of multiple sclerosis in transgenic mice.

    Chandler resident Paul Haus from Chandler won an Audi A5 Cabriolet plus $14,000 cash in the Fall 2010 Health and Wealth Raffle, which benefits St. Joseph’s Hospital Medical Center and Barrow Neurological Institute. A resident from Apache Junction won one of two grand prizes: His & Her Mercedes plus $37,000 or a cash option of $150,000. The winner wished to remain anonymous.
