A 1948 Tucker Torpedo, from the collection of Chandler car collector Ron Pratte, sold for a record $2.9 million at the Barrett-Jackson auto Auction at Westworld in Scottsdale on Saturday. There were just 51 cars produced and about 38 of them are believed to be in existence.
