The Phoenix office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said it has settled a lawsuit alleging class sexual harassment, a discriminatory wage claim and an individual retaliation claim against Phoenix accounts receivable management firm MRS Associates for $157,500.
The EEOC suit claimed a MRS owner sexually harassed female employees by, among other things, calling them “baby” or “honey” and requiring one of them to go to a strip club.
The suit further alleged that the owner fired a woman for complaining about sexual harassment.
Besides the settlement, the agreement requires that company management participate in sexual harassment training.
