Bank robber sought in Scottsdale

WANTED: A man sought in a Scottsdale robbery was wearing a San Diego Padres cap, sunglasses and a gray Old Navy T-shirt.

WANTED: A man sought in a Scottsdale robbery was wearing a San Diego Padres cap, sunglasses and a gray Old Navy T-shirt.

Scottsdale police are searching for a man wearing a San Diego Padres baseball cap and driving a 1980s silver and maroon Ford Econoline van after he robbed the Arizona Federal Credit Union in Scottsdale on Wednesday.

The man, who donned black sunglasses and a short-sleeved gray Old Navy T-shirt, entered the bank about 12:30 p.m. carrying a dark blue backpack. He demanded money from the teller, according to police. No weapon was seen.

After the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, he drove away. The van has a broken rear window that was boarded up.

Police ask those with information to call (480) 312-5000.
