Chandler detectives on Thursday raided the offices of a company that manages several homeowners associations because of allegations that it was involved in more than $100,000 in fraud, according to police.
The Reedy Group manages neighborhood organizations including Alma School Place, Carino Estates, Villas Northern II & III, Summerfield Unit VI and Western Skies.
Few details about the raid were available late Thursday. However, police spokesman Sgt. Rick Griner said, “In these types of cases, sometimes it takes a while” to get through all the paper and electronic records that were seized.
Griner said more details would be made available today.
A voice mail message at The Reedy Group, 58 W. Buffalo St., Suite 200, said the office was closed Thursday “during a power outage” and calls would be returned “in 24 to 48 hours.”
The company was founded in March 1997 by president Timothy J. Reedy, according to its Web site. Neither Reedy nor others involved with the company could be located.
The company has a satisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau in Phoenix, and had never been delinquent with its Arizona Corporation Commission filings.
