The Crowded House has just opened its doors at 1927 N. Gilbert Road, Suite 1, in Mesa. The store carries upholstered and leather furniture, dining and bedroom sets and armoires and entertainment centers.

The store specializes in imported furniture that has an Old World feel and carries items from such countries as Indonesia, Peru and Belize.

Owned by Kevin and Julia Gosney, the store is at the southeast corner of McKellips and Gilbert roads in the Village Groves Plaza.

KINKOS

A new FedEx Kinko’s Signs and Graphics Center has just opened at 1920 S. Stapley Drive in Mesa.

The 2,500-square-foot store features a consultation area and showroom and offers custom vinyl banners and signs, magnets, decals, aluminum and plastic signs. It also offers custom backlit signs and boxes, form-board mounting, laminating and canvas, and color reproduction and printing services.

EAST MESA STORES

Superstition Springs Glass and Mirror has just opened at 6052 East Baseline Road, Suite 107, in Mesa.

The company handles glass and mirror projects for commercial and residential clients. Their services include custom shower doors, insulated and dual pane windows, glass desk and table tops and mirror and block glass projects. The business is on the north side of Baseline just west of Power Road.

EATERY CLOSES

La Madeleine has closed its doors at Scottsdale Fashion Square’s food court. Mall officials say they are looking for a tenant to occupy the corner near the north entrance of the mall’s lower level. Restaurants and retailers are being considered for the spot.

A La Madeleine spokeswoman said the privately owned Dallas-based company let the lease expire so that the company could concentrate on larger markets.

The firm’s other two Valley restaurants, at 3102 E. Camelback Road and 10625 N. Tatum Blvd., remain open.
