Public meeting on airport noise scheduled

Noise generated by Chandler’s Municipal Airport will be the subject of a public meeting Dec. 8.

Officials are updating a previous study completed in 1999 to assess aviation noise impacts. Potential noise abatement and other actions will be presented at the meeting for public review and comment.

The open house will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in Chandler’s Main Library, 22 South Delaware St. A formal presentation with question-and-answer period will follow the open house at 7:30 p.m.
