A mostly cloudy sky Saturday offered scattered sprinkles, but little else in the East Valley.
In Mesa, Saturday afternoon saw scattered showers and thunderstorms, and was partly cloudy with a high of 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service's local office.
Sunday will see more sun than the day before, with less rain, but will still average a high temperature of 69 degrees, according to the weather service. Sunday night will see mostly clear skies, with a low of about 33 degrees.
The forecast for Monday brings more sunshine, and a return to higher temperatures than experienced over the weekend, with a high of 73 degrees.
The weather service predicted clear skies for Chandler and Gilbert over the remainder of the weekend, with a return to temperatures in the 70s on Monday.
The weekend's wet winds were mostly relegated to scattered parts of the East Valley Saturday, with a return to clear skies Sunday, according to the weather service.
