PAGE TOO: You have three sons. How old are they now?

CHARLI TURNER THORNE: They’re 10 (Conor), 8 ( Liam) and 5 (Quinn).

PT: You must be busy.

CTT: There’s no downtime. You get up, get going and you pretty much collapse around 10, 10:30 p.m.

PT: I’m guessing they’re involved in sports, right?

CTT: My little guy will only play organized basketball. But the two older ones like soccer. My middle guy likes baseball.

PT: How do you and your husband, Will, find time with the demands of your career to get everything done?

CTT: Will is just working part-time. That’s how we’re managing. He stayed home until Quinn started kindergarten. He is going back full-time so then it will get a little more complicated. A lot of our kids’ teams, the neighbors’ kids are on so we car pool.

PT: Is it easier now than it was a few years ago?

CTT: We’re starting to transition from physical parenting to emotional mental parenting. Our issues are still little issues. They don’t really want to play with you so much anymore. They have their friends. They definitely are growing up.

PT: Does being a coach make you a better parent?

CTT: I think so. I’m teaching all the time. In college coaching you’re absolutely helping young ladies. You’re teaching a lot of life skills. They’re still pretty young when they get to us. The hardest thing for my own kids is I’ll probably parent a little bit older than they are. I’m a little less sympathetic. It’s, 'You’re whining. There’s a no complaining rule in this house. Get with it.

PT: Do you ever want to get away just by yourself, even for one night?

CTT: No. With my job I am away by myself a lot. If anything, I would like a few more nights of craziness at home with my crew.

Up close and personal

Favorite movie: I really liked “Rocky.”

Favorite TV show: ”Mary Tyler Moore”

Last book you read: ”Training Camp” by Jon Gordon

What do you drive: Buick Enclave, because that’s the car they gave me at school.

Song you would sing if you were on American Idol: ”Happy” by Leona Lewis.

Superstitions: I really try not to be superstitious but I am. If I lose in an outfit, I don’t wear it again during the season.

Worst habit: I don’t do it very often, but I love to lie out in the sun.

First job: Paper route for the Los Angeles Daily News

What would you eat for your last meal: Non-fat, no-whip peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks. A fresh loaf of bread and my own guacamole. And mushroom tortellini.

Something about you that would surprise people: I’m not really a talker. I could throw my Blackberry down my toilet or in the ocean and be happy. If I didn’t need it for my job, I really would be very happy with less technology in my life. I’m really a shy person.

Person you’d love to switch places with for another day: President Obama

Favorite athlete in another sport: Mikael Barishnikov

Favorite city to visit: London

Reality TV show you’d like to be on: None. Don’t like it, don’t watch it.

One food you refuse to eat: Steak

Favorite fast food restaurant and item: Rubio’s cheese quesadilla with little side of guacamole

Your hero: My mom

Your bucket list: I really don’t have one. I’m so fully engaged in every day of my life, I really don’t think about what I need to do.
