'The Wedding Singer’
The stage adaptation of the hit movie, this musical comedy set in the 1980s tells the tale of a wedding singer and his search for love. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center, 22149 E. Ocotillo Road.

Carriage show
The AZ Driving and Carriage Society will host a competition on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Horseshoe Park Equestrian Centre, 20464 W. Riggs Road. Horses of all sizes will compete in pulling carriages in pleasure and obstacle classes.

Dream interpretation
Any teen who has ever had a strange dream and wondered what it meant should check out this event. Youths 12 to 18 are invited to join Tiffany Weis as she covers the basics of how the subconsciousness expresses itself through dreams. She will cover the history of dream interpretation and dream journaling as well as showcase some entertaining exercises.
The free workshop is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Queen Creek Branch Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.

Softball league sign-ups start
Registration for the Queen Creek Parks and Recreation Department’s winter softball league is open through Nov. 19. A late registration period runs Nov. 23-25. Games will be played 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Founders’ Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, in a double-header format on Wednesday and Friday nights over 11 weeks beginning Jan. 13.
Registration is $475 per team, with an additional $40 for signing up during the late registration period.

Flag football league registration
The Southeast Valley Church League is organizing a flag football league. The season will consist of 12 regular season games over six weeks followed by two weeks of playoff games. Games will be played at Walker Butte School, 29697 N. Desert Willow Blvd., on Saturdays and Sundays beginning Dec. 5.
Teams are limited to 10 players and must be sponsored by a local church. Team fees are $275.

Fall recreation classes available

Kids’ movies and crafts
The San Tan Mountain Regional Park, 6533 W. Phillips Road, will present two programs designed to entertain and amuse children.
On Wednesday, the park will show two animated movies on the large screen inside the nature center. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the park will show “Monsters vs. Aliens,” and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” will be screened. In addition to the films, crafts, snacks and drinks will be available.
The programs are free, but there is a $6 per vehicle park entry fee.
