The Arizona State football team has signed wide receiver Jarrid Bryant to its 2009 recruiting class.
Bryant, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound wide receiver, chose the Sun Devils over California, Kansas and Boston College.
Bryant played at Salisbury Prep in Salisbury, Conn. last season, catching 10 balls for 140 yards and two touchdowns in a run-oriented offense, and scoring eight touchdowns on kickoff or punt returns.
Bryant played basketball at Corona (Calif.) Centennial High before transferring to Salisbury Prep. Three players from Centennial currently play for Arizona State, and two more — defensive tackle William Sutton and linebacker Vontaze Burfict — signed this year.
