A host of sci-fi TV stars will beam into the Mesa Convention Center for this weekend's Phoenix Comicon, from "Star Trek: The Next Generation" bridge crew Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis and Wil Wheaton to disco-era "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" stars Gil Gerard and Erin Gray and "The Incredible Hulk" himself, Lou Ferrigno.
Oh yeah, there will be lots of comic-book-related stuff as well.

"Spawn" creator and local action figure magnate Todd McFarlane will attend, as will "Runaways" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" cover artist Jo Chen and dozens of other comic book artists and writers. Sci-fi novelist Kevin J. Anderson, who has penned continuations to "Star Wars" and "Dune," will also be there.
A last-minute addition to the guest list is Chase Masterson, who played the beautiful Bajoran saloon girl Leeta on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," leading to her playing the green Orion girl in the fan-produced film "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men." She's also appeared on "General Hospital" and the feature-length anime "Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles."
The convention will also be showing Masterson's award-winning film noir, "Yesterday Was a Lie." The film features another Phoenix Comicon guest, Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca in the "Star Wars" films).
"Movies and previews are one of the joys of Phoenix Comicon," said convention director Matt Solberg. "Chase has worked in everything from film noir to sci-fi to dramas like 'ER.' She's loved by fans, and we love having her with us."
Phoenix Comicon is billed as Arizona's largest multimedia, popular arts convention, focusing on comic books, anime, gaming, movie, and TV. It presents a full weekend schedule of guests and programming for hobbyists by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, and gaming worlds.
