But that wasn’t the case back in 1975 when the St. Louis Cardinals, coached by Don Coryell, finished 11-3 to qualify for the postseason. Tickets for their divisional playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams went for $7. Had the Cardinals reached the NFC title game – they lost to the Rams, 35-23 - the price would have jumped to a whopping $10.
