Two East Valley police departments and the FBI are looking for a man they believe committed three bank robberies this month.

Police seek help to ID suspect in bank robbery

The most recent happened at 6:51 p.m. Monday at the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union inside Wal-Mart, 1955 S. Stapley Drive in Mesa.

According to Mesa police, the man ordered the teller to fill up a leopard-print bag with money.

The man left with the money and may have gotten into a dark-colored passenger car.

The robber was described as a black male, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, wearing sunglasses, a black beanie and black sweater.

A man with a similar description robbed a Desert Schools Federal Credit Union inside a Fry's grocery store at 2010 S. Alma School Road around 1:20 p.m. Jan. 7and a Chase Bank inside Basha's, 1920 W. Chandler Blvd.

In those two Chandler robberies, the man passed a note demanding the money, but in Monday's robbery, the man threw the bag on the counter and demanded it be filled, said Detective Michael Melendez, Mesa police spokesman.

No weapons were seen in any of the robberies.
