Police seek help to ID suspect in bank robbery

Chandler police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying an alleged bank robber who acquired an undisclosed amount of cash from a branch of Desert Schools Federal Credit Union inside a Fry's grocery store on Wednesday.
The robber entered the credit union inside the store at 2010 S. Alma School Road about 1:20 p.m., and handed a note to a teller demanding cash before taking the cash away in a black backpack, according to police. No weapon was displayed during the robbery, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black long-sleeve hooded sweatshirt, knee-length blue jeans, a black and gray striped dress hat, sunglasses and black tennis shoes, police said.
