The Thunderbirds and United Blood Services are offering a free ticket to the FBR Open to anyone who gives blood this month. It's the sixth year the two organizations have combined for the blood drive.

TPC Scottsdale adds seating, encloses 16th hole

Simply give blood at any United Blood Services donor center or organization-sponsored blood drive through Jan. 31 and you'll receive a voucher that can be redeemed at the main gate for a one-day pass to FBR Open events from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1 at the TPC Scottsdale course.

For donation sites or more information, call (877) 448-4483 or visit www.UnitedBloodServicesAZ.org.

FBR JUNIOR CHAMPS

Dana Finkelstein of Chandler and Kyle Jones of Snowflake were the overall winners of the inaugural FBR Junior Open last weekend at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler.

Finkelstein was tied with Samantha Stewart of Peoria at 9-over-par 153 in the 36-hole stroke play event, then won on the third playoff hole.

Jones also went to a playoff after tying with Brian Blanchard at 1-over 145, and won with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

The two-day event was open to boys and girls ages in two age divisions (13-14 and 15-18).
