Tribune begins an exciting journey
For the Tribune, the coming week marks a new beginning. On Wednesday, the Tribune will be reconfigured into a two-section, tabloid-sized newspaper focused on the communities it will serve: Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Queen Creek. The Mesa Tribune, Gilbert Tribune, Chandler Tribune and Queen Creek Tribune will be delivered at no charge in selected neighborhoods and available in rack locations throughout those communities and Apache Junction.
In addition to Wednesdays, the paper will be published on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There will be no print edition of the Tribune this coming Monday nor on future Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Tribune's editorial staff will continue to post news seven days a week on eastvalleytribune.com. On the Tribune's Web site, you can also find an interactive map listing nearby rack locations. Click on "customer service" in the upper right hand corner for the map and a Q. and A.
Look for editor Chris Coppola's column on Wednesday for more information on format and content changes in the new Tribune. Coppola is an 18-year Tribune veteran who succeeds retiring editor Jim Ripley.
We are excited to continue serving the news and information needs of our East Valley communities, and are pleased to bring you the new Tribune in the New Year.
