Pair robbed while walking to party

Mesa police say a man robbed two men as they were walking near 2355 S. Alma School Road early Thursday morning.
The men reported they were walking in the neighborhood looking for a party at 12:40 a.m. when a man pointed what they believed was a handgun at them and demanded money, police said.
The robber was given cash and a bus pass, and he left by vehicle, police said.
The victims described the robber as black, 6 feet tall, weighing about 190 pounds and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
They could not describe the vehicle or the weapon.
