Residents' views are being requested on a proposed traffic-barricade ordinance, tentatively scheduled for Scottsdale City Council consideration at 5 p.m. Jan. 13 at the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd., city officials announced in a statement.

Officials said that the proposed ordinance will streamline the coordination of construction projects and other activities that occur on city streets.

The draft ordinance is on the city's Web site at www.scottsdaleaz.gov/traffic/rwmp.asp and has been reviewed by internal city departments and the Transportation Commission.

Comments on the proposed ordinance must be submitted by 5 p.m. Jan. 9 to Walt Brodzinski at wbro@scottsdaleaz.gov or Annie DeChance at adechance@scottsdaleaz.gov.
