Man robs convenience store

An unshaven, scruffy-haired robber demanded money Monday from a Circle K in Mesa, authorities said.
The Mesa Police Department reported that the robber pulled a black semiautomatic handgun on the clerk at 4353 S. Southern Ave. around 11 p.m. It was not known whether there was a recording of the incident.
The robber fled in a silver or gray four-door car with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robber was described as a white man, 28 to 40 years old and wearing dark clothing, according to police.
