Ever said: “I’d love a dog, but just don’t have the space”? Meet Jalen. This 7-year-old jet black Chihuahua is not just playful, loving and gentle.
He’s space-efficient. “When he curls up in a little ball, he looks like a little pill bug with big ears,” RESCUE tells us. Jalen weighed only 3 pounds, and was moments away from being euthanized when RESCUE retrieved him and discovered a heart that belies his tiny size. Jalen adores people. (He’ll tap your hand if you stop petting him too soon.)
He loves dogs and cats, too. He loves everybody. In fact, if you’re not a certain stuffed bunny, you couldn’t help but love Jalen back. Jalen’s wish this holiday season is to wake up in the shoes of a forever family. For the cost of a little square footage, he will give you a lifetime of love.
For more information on Jalen, or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
